Aahh, yes... the swiss ball situation was alarmingly funny.
So everyone is wedding planning at the moment. Well obviously not everyone. Steven & Margaret, Sam & Jane, Renate & Tim, Claire & Adrian, Chris & Sarah... and obviously many more around the world that we don't know! It's fun. Or is it? Adrian and I aren't in stress mode at the mo cos we still have quite a while to go.
We are staying in Palmerston North on Saturday night with Adrian's dad (who, oddly enough, looks remarkably like the strange cyclist in the above picture...), then I will carry on up to Hamilt-ron for my third and final TE! Yay! I'm going in with a positive attitude because I think I will literally just transform into a sobbing, rocking ball on the ground at the front of the classroom if I don't. Aah, the pleasures of teaching. For those who don't know, I'm off to St John's (Catholic Boys) school in Hamilt-ron for 5 weeks from 21 May to 22 June. Am apparently teaching Y9 and Y11 maths, Y10 social studies and Y12 &13 geography! Eep! The geographers, I'm pretty sure, will know more than me. And by the way, for those who think that NCEA is a 'dumbing down' of NZ school assessment, think again. I had a lot of trouble acheiving an Excellence in a year 11 maths achievement standard on straight lines and parabolas. And I did level 2 maths at uni. (Granted I don't remember much, but still!). So am not looking forward to seeing the complexity of the geography acheivement standards.
Gotta go, I will go help my lovely man make tea and then Dancing with the Stars is on!
PS> Who do people think should win? I was going for Suzanne for ages (her legs are amazing) but now I wonder if I am supporting Greer instead. I think it will either be Suzanne or Brendon who wins though.
Bye :)
