Teaching College...

...Is over! Well, rather unofficially I guess. I have finished all my assignments! I got my last maths, science and social studies curriculum studies assignments back today, and I got a merit for all of them! Stoked. Considering the social studies one was s*** and all I wanted to do was pass it. I also got my Language and Literacy one back and passed that too. So got Facing the Classroom with Confidence (which I handed in today) and Teaching For Learning (core course) portfolio from last TE (that I'm handing in tomorrow) to go. Do you know how good that feels?! I guess most of you will!

Here are some photos that Adrian and I took last night when we were ready to go out to Strawberry Fare for dinner. My god, that place is great. Although the service wasn't great last night :(

We got an entertainment book today. They are amazing, you pay $55 for a book full of vouchers to use at mainly restaurants, mostly either 25% off or buy one main get one free. Then there's all this other stuff, like video store vouchers, bowling, gym, swimming, almost anything you could imagine. As well as hotels/ accomodation, travel, stuff for amusement parks in Oz and stuff. Would recommend it! Adrian and I will be doing a lot of eating out! Is that a good thing or a bad thing...?

Man it is cold here. Our high today was 8! Although, Jess if you're reading this I feel so bad for you to have just moved to Dunedin, I've been watching the weather on TV and thinking of you freezing your butt off down there :( Hope your body is still functioning ok...

I start my job at Dick Smith (Lower Hutt) on the 4th. For those of you who don't know, I got a trainee manager job there. I said to myself, if I make myself go back to retail, it has to be a higher position than 'just' a retail assistant which is what I've been in the past. So electronics it is! We'll see how I go learning all about their 10000+ products... :S

Adrian and I are making beer casserole for tea! Wish us luck... xxx

PS> Signing of the guestbook has declined. I don't like it! Get to it!

Hehe, it must suck to be in Dunedin right now - I hate going to the shop in winter, and it's only 20 meters south of my bedroom.

On a completely related note, check out these cool Danish Lights. Apparently they have funky shapes and materials and filters so the light is whiter and you only see reflected light, so no glare!

I so want some.
