It dawned on me that my new idea for my PhD that I mentioned a few posts ago is actually quite flawed. It can't be resurrected. Oh well, we move on.
Good news! The nice people at Victoria University have decided to give me more money! I have been awarded a Victoria PhD Scholarship, which will cover my fees for 3 years (total of ~$15,000), plus up to $20,000 cash per year for 3 years. I say "up to" because it is likely I will get less, since I'll be concurrently holding another scholarship. How much less I'll find out in the next few days hopefully.
So far, in the approximately 10 hours worth of my time in filling out scholarship applications, I've earned up to $100,000. Not a bad hourly rate. Although, this assumes we discount the other 5 years of study I've done, and the next 3 years I still have.
