Caaaaaaaaaaaaarl

Man, those llamas really crack me up. And true to form, SecretAgentBob has me laughing more and more every time I watch. The last time, I was laughing at the fact that the non-evil llama has a flower in his hat. A flower. Genius.

So I'm sitting at my desk at work right now waiting for my lovely to pick me up. The whole country was awash in rain today, so I didn't ride to work on the motorbike. Conveniently, one of the guys at my work decided to have celebratory drinks this afternoon to thank our summer student research assistants. So, I have wine. At my desk. But I'm all alone :( Plus I think that the last person didn't wash the glass very well, and it still has bits of red wine attached to the rim. Oh well. Such complacency when one has had a couple of glasses.

I knocked over Jimmy again today. Poor Jimmy. He's so susceptible to being knocked over; I should really put him in a larger pot.

I wonder what we will do this weekend. The Petone fair and also the Cuba St Carnival are on this weekend... I hope the weather is good for everyone. I'd like to go, at least to the Petone one. And we will probably find ourselves there, since we need to go and get our Saturday morning coffee anyway. What else...? Not sure.

So today I discussed the calibration of our HP 3458a digital multimeter with people from electrical standards. They kind of look at me warily when they're about to explain something which might be technical

[I think my typing is a bit faster when I'm slightly drunk]

but mostly I understood it. Yay! Turns out we're not getting it calibrated, just checked. And later. This probably isn't interesting at all.
