On the twelfth of January we were wed

On the thirteenth we got out of bed

Packed our things and left quite soon

Off to Hawaii for our honeymoon

Honolulu was host to our first night

After a long and excited flight

Next day, we limo-ed to our next stop

Aboard Pride of Hawaii, 9^th deck near the top

Yes, Disneyland is magical, but to this compared?

Cruise ships are adult playgrounds, fun is not spared

Cocktails galore and they are not weak

And the best thing? They’re incredibly cheap!

On the Big Island, we saw volcanic shields

And a macadamia plantation, complete with fields

On Maui we visited the Ocean Centre with glee

And watched humpbacks at sunset, romantically

Saw sunrise on Haleakala – “House of the Rising Sun”

At Kona we relaxed, had a free day for once

In Nawiliwili with mud bugs, we got flirty

Where the aim is just to get very, very dirty

We were contestants in the ship’s game show

But embarrassingly, our score was low

We went to a luau, which is a feast

With dancing and fire and mythical beasts

At Kauai we had our first helicopter ride

I had the best seat, by the pilot’s side

But another passenger was not impressed

She spent most of the time in visible distress

We met Puff the Magic Dragon, of musical fame

I feel privileged that I can put a face to the name!

He was asleep, at Hanalei Bay

And we were a bit sad as this was our last day

But memories are kept, and great ones at that

Because it has been my most magical yet

Now we must try, on all of our trips,

To make them as good as our Honeymoon Ship
