England Part 2: June 10 to June 13

I was still not feeling well or eating properly! Very disappointing. It was kind of cloudy and rainy on June the 10th, but we drove into Bath to explore anyway. We did a city bus tour (2 routes) and had a lovely and animated tour guide for the first route (recorded guide for the second).

The Westbury White Horse which we saw at the start of our drive out of Bath. Our first and only White Horse! Later Grandpa told us he used to have picnics on its eye! (He grew up in Wiltshire).

Bath Abbey. The busker you can see was incredible - I can't remember if it was a saxophone or clarinet he had but it was beautiful.

The famous Great Pulteney Street. Impressive, no?

Bath Cathedral - they have peregrine falcons nesting in the spire. I would have LOVED to see them!

Bath!

I had a stuffed baked potato and Adrian had a Bath pastie. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it all - this was my first full meal since getting sick. And it was so nice!!
After Bath we were to drive back to London. We 'stopped by' Stonehenge on the way. It was pretty freakin cold. In a ghost traffic jam somewhere on the way we were parked/driving by a beautiful field of poppies so I took advantage.
Adrian was so excited he didn't even want to stop and listen to his audioguide (which was actually very cool). He just wanted to take photos! And more photos. And more photos. And more. I've picked the one I think is best for the purpose of this blog post!

Poppies
The next day, Adrian drove himself, me, Mum and Grandpa down to Uncle Jon's and Auntie Dee's in Surrey to have tea. It was really nice - there were also my cousins Steve and Dave and their lovely girlfriends Sophie and Megan were there too. I had seen lots of pics of them on Facebook so it was great to meet them in person.
Me and Grandpa. He got his seat on the couch about 30 seconds before the kick-off of the England vs France rugby final and was pretty happy with that!

On the 12th we went to Brent Cross with Mum again and had lunch at Grandpa's. Marks & Spencers lunch options - mmmm. Britain, I envy you so! Adrian and I took the bus/tube to the city in the evening (we'd already dropped the rental car off by then) to meet up with our friends Luke and Anna for tea. Regrettably we did not take photos of our dinner at the bar with Luke and Anna :(
With Lego famous people! At Hamley's.

Regent Street (I think?). This was after we'd been to "M&Ms World", a crazy 4 storey M&Ms shop!

On June the 13th we said goodbye to Mum and Grandpa and headed into town to get the train back to Brussels. We were on our next journey - to Bruges!
