USA Take Two

Despite the name you see, this is actually Adrian posting this.  I know! I'm as astounded as you are!

The thing I like most about this blog is that it holds a collection of memories of holidays that we've had.  Nowadays we mostly use Facebook to post photos and just use our heads to remember stuff, but we use this blog to tell more of the stories of our holidays.

So now I'm going to begin the next chapter of our holiday blog: USA Take Two.  (I spent all of 2 seconds coming up with that title, and even more time wasted trying to think of a better one. I'm going to leave it as is).

Our itinerary is:

1) Fly to San Francisco. Spend a night there and do some touristy things like visit Alcatraz.
2) Board the Grand Princess cruise ship, round trip to Alaska including Glacier Bay. 10 days.
3) Hire a rental car in San Francisco and stay with Matt & Jacinda in Lodi, CA. 4 days.
4) Drive to Las Vegas via Yosemite National Park and Death Valley.  2 days.
5) Drive around the Grand Canyon and see, in order: Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon North Rim, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon South Rim, Hoover Dam. 9 days.
6) Return rental car in Las Vegas and fly back to Auckland via LAX.
7) Be reunited with the cats.
