Hello!

Bean is home, as you know. He's not too happy in his cage though... he's stopped pulling himself around by his front paws/claws and starting standing up now. His operated-on leg is the strongest one, I'm guessing since he's on painkillers and it's being held together with layers of stitches through the muscle. The other leg just kind of drags behind/ beside (remember the pelvis/ hip is broken so there's really no support there at all) but I think he's relatively happy just flopping about and he just goes to sleep when it's sore I guess. Or when he's bored. Or cries for cuddles.

So he's been home for a week now. Hopefully he is making good progress. The vets said it's good for him to try to walk around on his back legs a bit, it's like he's treating himself with physio! The two of them are going to the cattery this week Thursday cos me and Dad are going for a long weekend in Christchurch, so he will get a check-up then (cattery is same place as vet for those who don't know). Armi is ok, although still a bit miffed that Bean made it home (sibling rivalry). But she's enjoying having the literal run of the house while Bean's in his cage! And even sleeps on our bed most nights too!

You might be wondering why there's also a random photo of some ice at the bottom there. Weeeeeeell... I thought it was cool, so I thought I'd show it to you. I got it out of the freezer today at work; it's a plastic container that I filled with distilled water that I put in the freezer on Wednesday. I freeze one of these each week and have never seen this happen to it before. I know what's happened, but DO YOU?
