aaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Today is my first day at work without my eftpos card. I literally feel a little naked and exposed, like everyone will be able to tell I have some dirty little secret. I got paid yesterday, but decided I was spending too much (money and calories) at work. Being bored kind of makes me look forward to morning and afternoon tea, but the only reason I look forward to it is so that I can have muffin or scone or V or other sugary feel-good food. So I have taken the hard line with myself and am only going to bring enough cash to work for lunch (which is difficult, because lunch is always a different amount). Today I have $7.10. I bought a nut bar and a banana for other snacks. We'll see how I get on! You might say "Um... Claire, why don't you just make your lunch?" But then you'll remember who you're talking to. Mum will testify to the fact that I cannot be easily satisfied with a packed lunch. No cheese and marmite *gag* sandwiches for me. Not jam either. No, I'm just too fussy. And a little bit lazy too.
There are only 72 sleeps til our trip! Yay! On the weekend Adrian and I went to the Disney website and booked our evening meals. You may think that a little neurotic, being more than 72 days until we will need to eat there, but they book up very fast. Like we couldn't even get the times we wanted in some of them already. There are over 200 eateries there though, so we kind of just picked some that looked interesting and booked those. We got the Disney dining plan, which include vouchers for certain places each day.
The other night I discovered that after about 10 years of not wearing earrings, my earring holes were still useable! (Yeah, there's no nicer way to put that, sorry). Imagine my excitement: earrings are the cheapest accessory, as far as I can tell. And they sell such funky ones now... So I went and got 4 pairs yesterday. I thought that I'd be scared of how they look when I put them on, since my hair is short and I haven't worn any for ages, but they actually work really well I think. Today I have little black glittery hearts on. Matching... although depending on my mood some days I might wear a different one in each ear :)
Is it just me or does everyone enjoy Thursdays? I think Thursdays always make me feel good, because tomorrow is Friday. Maybe you're thinking, doesn't Friday make you feel better then? But no, because by Friday I'm over it and I just want to go home. I like Thursdays.
Love xxx

can most definatley endorse the fact that Claire is a VERY PICKY lunch eater, it was always a problem of what to give her for school lunches. I prefer Friday at 3oc and then I know that it is the beginning of the weekend for me. But Thursdays are good for the anticipation, so have to agree with that too. Mumbly
i'm sorry, but marmite and cheese sounds like pretty much the worst-tasting thing you could possibly eat. i tried it when i went to australia. never again. yay for disney and yay for your visit to minnesota. i think you'll find it much more exciting than disney world. (-;
